One of the best things about owning a drop ship business is the flexibility . You can control how much much time you spend on your business. I know several business owners, who spend just a short amount of time weekly on there business while working a regular job, keeping it maintained, adding a few products, and filling orders.
I also know people who are using there drop shipping business working full time 40+ hours a week on there business. There are also many cases of the business growing, where business owners have added additional staff and business application software to handle the growth .
Bottom line, its your business , what you put into it is what you’ll get out of it . One of the advantages of drop shipping versus other business models however, is if you need to limit business growth to say take a trip, or lessen the work load, you simply slow down the advertising and data feeds to slow traffic. When and if you want to ramp back up, simply increase the advertising, the feeds, etc. and within days your Internet company can be booming again. You have some control over your website’s inbound traffic and the work and time involved daily.
This does not mean however, that anybody can open a business from their home office , with little money, and not work and have a successful business. Drop Shipping is NOT get rich quick, its not make a fortune on eBay, and its not website created today, profitable tomorrow. It takes effort , business sense, good customer service skills, and most of all dedication to open any business. Drop Shipping Companies simply allows for people who do not have the financial means to open other types of companies a chance to start small and grow , or have that additional source of income to meet today’s financial hardships .
